We have had plenty of rain this June, up about 1/2 inches over the rainfall of last June. The storm two weeks ago measured 2 1/2 inches of rainfall. The river rose!
It has not deterred our campers.
The Moosman family headed for Oscoda. Our first 2010 Oscoda launch!
Later in the week, the Sawyer family headed for Mio in their kayaks. The radar showed coming storms, but they braved the elements and were rewarded with a mostly sunny day. We are pretty sure that their tents got wet at night.
The weather forecast in slightly ominous, but we are hoping for a good outcome.

June has been a busy month with Grads & Dads.
Two of our staffers, Allie & Matt, graduated from Grayling High School
Our nephew, James, graduated from Charlotte High School.
This past week-end brought out a lot of families celebrating Father's Day.
June has also brought new guests and many of our favorites returning guests.
Eric & Monica spent several days with us
paddling and golfing.
Grayling has two hidden gems in
Fox Run and the Grayling Country Club.
This past week-end brought in two of our favorite families.
Ed, Sandy, and Alex visited from Ohio. they shared stories at breakfast, took in a Warbler Tour, and canoed to Wakeley Bridge.
The Lazarecki's were here, too. Tony & Sue, sons, Rick & Mike, and future daughter-in-law, Christine spent a few days fishing, kayaking, and kicking back.
One last foot note........
We are really enjoying our "dust mop shoes". They don't pick up much, but it is fun to skate across the new floors.

On this beautiful Thursday afternoon, we are busy updating our website and facebook page. I'm just glad we don't Twitter.
We are very proud of our new safety video link. It is a true Borchers Production. It features staffers Ryan & Allie.
With a cameo of Sara helping them get into their canoe.
The smooth voice over is Alex.
We are pleased to add it to our website and hope that our guests find it helpful. Check it out.

Memorial Week-end was Memoriable!
Borchers was hopping with so many groups of families and friends. Everyone was out to take advantage of the great weather. Sunscreen and lifejackets were a must!
Regulars, including these guys, came for their annual Memorial Week-end Trip.
We were honored to provide trips for many veterans, including the Johnson family. We appreciate all of our service men and women!
Our crew worked really hard handling canoes, especially at the landings, but of course they are very able bodied young men!
At the end of the day, they took some time to cool off.
Alex initiated our new neighbor, Casey!
Everyone was fair game,
including Mark, 'Cede & Me.
I guess to sum it up,
Memorial Week-end was a Splash!
